Standish Corner Village Design Implementation:
Public Workshop Results
A major goal for Standish is to retain its rural character. To do this the Town's 2006 Comprehensive Plan recommends directing a large majority of its future residential and commercial growth into its village centers and the immediately surrounding areas.

The Comprehensive Plan identified Standish Corner (pictured above) as one area where most of the town's future growth should be concentrated. From 2007 to 2009, GrowSmart Maine engaged town residents and business owners in three public workshops to establish a vision and "action plan" for Standish Corner.
