Historic Properties Renovated with the Preservation Tax Credit
Red placemarkers denote historic buildings that have been renovated under Maine's existing historic preservation tax credit. Click each marker for details; if you have photographs of these properties on the web, fill in the image's URL in the marker's text field to save it on the map.
LD 262, an expansion of Maine's historic preservation tax credit, passed in early 2008 with the strong support of GrowSmart Maine and allies in the Coalition to Revitalize Maine's Towns and Cities. The credit encourages renovations of smaller projects and removes other restrictions. Maine's villages, cities, and Main Streets have thousands of historic buildings that could qualify for and benefit from this tax credit.
